Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you are all well! We have so much to be thankful for this year – our family, friends, good health, amazing clients, and so much more. I just wanted to share our Christmas card with you for 2009. I am so thankful for our family images that my friend Shellie Benson took – definitely wanted to share! We are still waiting (praise the Lord!) for little J to arrive as I will be 35 weeks tomorrow. Ended up having a nice little hospital visit last night after contracting every 4-5 minutes but thankfully the 64 oz. of water (and MANY prayers thank you!!) were able to space them out and Iwas able to come home to rest in my own bed and on my own couch. For those of you who don’t know I am dealing with excess amniotic fluid this pregancy so have been measuring “term” size since 33 weeks along. Baby J still needs cooking though so we are trying to keep him in there as long as possible!! I am still standing strong on my favorite verse for this kiddo (Jeremiah 29:11-13) – God has been so good to us and we continue to trust in Him throughout this pregnancy!!! I am now on modified bedrest (in writing haha) but really have been taking it easy for about a month now. :) Christmas will be low key this year, obviously (b/c of my restrictions), but as we are teaching our precious little boys – the very first Christmas didn’t have lighted Christmas trees, round the clock Christmas music, decorated cookies, or LOTS of presents anyway…it all started with the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so blessed that God sent his son to save the world from sin…born in a humble stable and placed in a lowly manger…that was the first Christmas. There was no Santa Clause – but the spirit of hope, love, and great joy which spurred the person of St. Nick was there and now we have the great love that people show in his spirit of love and giving to loved ones and people who need it most. There were beautiful angelic voices and gifts from the wisemen to celebrate the Christ Child’s birth (which is where our little family gets our 3 present tradition ♥)…what an amazing love we were shown by God sending His only Son to earth to save us. I usually get emotional now especially being a mom and thinking of what sacrifice God made in sending His son for us – a precious little baby boy who one day would grow up and die on the cross for my sins (wow!!)…obviously even more so now I as I am carrying our third precious little boy (what a gift!). I think of Mary and what she went through, putting God’s request and the salvation of the world before even her own feelings as mother…what a wonderful wonderful reminder of the huge sacrifice made on all of our behalves! This Christmas I pray that you find the peace, love, joy, and most of all the tremendous HOPE that is truly found in Jesus Christ alone. Thank you again for a wonderful 2009!! I cannot wait to see what 2010 brings!!
Also – one of my all time favorite Christmas songs…give me chills everytime (Third Day’s version esp.)
